A Sincere Thank You to My Readers

I’m proud to report that Monster Land has passed the 100 mark with 103 followers on Google Connect, 114 fans on Facebook and 102 followers on Twitter. It’s a new year for Monster Land, and when I began this blog in the summer of 2009 I had no idea it would grow to such lengths.

Looking back it’s been an eventful year. I was invited to join the League of Tana Tea Drinkers and BJ-C’s Tea Party of the Dead, the PMLA and MLA respectively of horror blogging excellence. I also had the singular pleasure of interviewing Stewart Hendler, the director of Sorority Row and participating in the Boris Karloff Blogathon. Through the Miss Horror Blogosphere contest, I was able to connect with other female horror bloggers and I look forward to participating in the Women in Horror Appreciation Month this February.

Blogging has opened doors and allowed me to connect with a diverse community of horror bloggers who have kindly embraced me and my unique perspective. But I could not have done any of it without you, my readers. A blog is only as good as its audience and your kind comments have propelled me forward to write with confidence. To have so many people reading and commenting on my blogs means the world to me as a scholar and a blogger. I look forward to the new readers the year will bring and appreciate those of you who’ve been there since the beginning.

Thanks.

Coming Up: More Asian horror, a rant on Hostel II, some comments on Dead Girl and a brand new monster of the month. Stay Tuned.

  2. First off...

I'm not that guy above me's little cartoon brother!! lol :)

Having said that...when ISN'T a horror/slasher flick just a misogynist "Running Man" with chicks?

When you watch "Goreno" you know what you're getting, but you're right in that it'd be nice for Roth to AT LEAST try to be a little more subtle and not just an over-self-promoting annoying hack.

The true masters of horror know how to tap into scary profond truths about life and society on your subconscious level...often without you realizing thst it's happened until long after the movie's over...
